Performance Sports Cars | The Range Rover Sport Brings Two Worlds Together

The iconic British company Land Rover has overhauled the Range Rover Sport for 2010. This year's model will feature quite a few noticeable performance upgrades including a pair of high performance Supercharged engines, a six-speed automatic transmission and an economical advantage over its older brothers.

Smooth Driving in Any Terrain

The Sport is no doubt a luxury car. Judging from its sleek finish and aerodynamic LED design, it is easy to overlook that the car can withstand a variety of unforgiving roads. Like other sports utility vehicles under the Land Rover marque however, the fact still remains that the Sport is a very reliable and very powerful SUV.

The sporty luxury car may look like a behemoth of a tank but it certainly does not feel like one. Designed to be highly adaptive, there are a number of systems equipped on the car which will help optimize the car's performance under any road condition. With a simple turn of the dial, the car will automatically choose car presets to adapt to a number of different terrains.

The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) that comes with Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) along with the Sport's Roll Stability Control (RSC) will sense weight adjustments on the air springs and automatically adjusts the ride height to accommodate it. These road response systems ensure a very comfortable ride even under harsh road conditions or aggressive driving.

Entertainment for the Whole Family

The Sport is quite an expensive buy and although Land Rover has done a good job by improving fuel efficiency, it cannot fully replace a family SUV in terms of maintenance. It does, however, have a few features that may keep the kids of cost-is-no-object parents at bay for most family trips.

Car entertainment options can be expanded to include a DVD player with a twin screen rear entertainment system. For long trips that particularly exhaust parents, being able to pop-in a DVD for the kids is a godsend. This device's downfall though lies in its position. When installed, it is located in an obscure, tiny access panel which is hardly noticeable.

A Hybrid television system can optionally be installed into the Sport as well to allow analog and digital TV channels for those who spend most of their time on the road. A feature to include iPod connectivity can also be installed as well as a "Premium Ice Pack Harman/Kardon LOGIC7" digital surround system for those who also want to super charge their media options. Phone connectivity is a default feature that makes use of the Personal Telephone Integration (PTI) system. This supports mobile phone connection with the use of Bluetooth.

The Range Rover Sport is a worthy entry into the driver-focused 4x4 competition. Land Rover has done well in balancing practical use with luxury features. The Sport packs quite a punch both as a city car and as a rough road explorer. Old reliability problems that are the norm for Land Rover cars may not have been completely solved but much has improved in this sporty model. If you're in the market for luxury SUVs, the 2010 Rover Sport is most definitely worth checking out if you have the budget for it.

Performance Sports Cars | The Coolest Cars of 2010

I am an avid car lover to say the very least. Every year when new cars are released I am so excited about it. I actually know which cars will be released far before the time that they ever are. I read lots of magazines and I also love to keep up on the concept cars that companies are developing. So without further a due here are my top three favorite cars of 2010.

#1) 2010 Audi S4: This super charged sports car is beast! I have always loved Audi ever since I purchased the A8 in 06. But they have truly outdone themselves with this one. Great gas mileage, cool design, and plenty of horse power. What more is there to say?

#2) 2010 Honda Accord: As always Honda has made the top 3 in my list for a various number of reasons. But the main ones are the obvious. They always lead the pack in terms of gas mileage, safety, and overall performance. Nuff said.

#3) 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid: I will admit that my opinion on this vehicle may be just a bit biased, but I am really proud of Ford for stepping up to the plate and making a vehicle that can compete with the cars that the foreign car companies have been making for eons. It is a great car and that's all there is too it. If you don't believe me then check it out for yourself.

I know that these cars may not be the ones you were expecting to see on the list but I had to take safety and gas mileage into account. If you want a list of my top sports cars, Well I guess I will just have to write it. Not a bad idea. I will get right to it!

I am a college student who loves writing and cars. For great info on cars and 26 inch rims, Visit http://26inchrims.org.

Buying Luxury Imported Sports Cars

Imported luxury sports cars are longed for by many car buyers and collectors. The US is one of the many countries who love to import luxury vehicles like sports cars. There are new ones but there are also used luxury cars that are sold in the car market.

Brand new imported luxury cars are very expensive so many buyers are turning to used luxury sports cars as an alternative. Although pre-owned, many buyers still wish to buy them to be part of their collections. Others purchase these used imported luxury cars to lift their public images and add class and prestige when driving.

Here are some tips that need to be considered when buying used imported luxury sports cars:

  1. The real cost of the imported luxury sports car should be determined. It is not advisable to buy the used car without having it appraised. Many car sellers price the imported cars very high because most buyers are not familiar with their true cost. It is important to determine the value before buying a car whether it is new or pre-owned.
  2. Buyers of these cars should research the car before purchasing. It is important to remember that they are imported cars and you should be aware of, and informed about the car’s capacity, gas mileage, speed, and engine performance. Know the depreciation rate and how the cars are sold in the market. By so doing, the research will help the buyer obtain some tips to use when buying imported luxury sports cars. The way to research is to use the internet or seek the advice of other car owners/buyers who are familiar with these types of cars.
  3. When shopping for a car, it is recommended that you enlist the assistance of an experienced car mechanic that is not employed by the dealer. The mechanic should be an expert in checking the engine and other parts of the used car. This is to ensure that the car is in good shape and that it will not make the dream of the buyer become a nightmare.

Take time to think about the purchase before making the final decision. The same applies when buying an imported luxury sports car. All things must be considered before buying so that you will not regret buying the used car.

Luxury Sports Car of This Generation

Most of the luxury cars are modified with two doors and can perform with great speed on the road. These cars are expensive because of the limited versions of their kind. Car manufacturers many times have their own classifications of luxury sports cars that they sell in the car market industry for those drivers who look for pleasure and extravagance in a car. Here are some examples of luxury sports cars that you can compare and rate according to their prices and features.

This awesome speed has lived up to its expectations because Ferrari has always been consistent in promoting and endorsing top of the line models and designs for its cars. The Ferrari F430 priced at $180,000 is an all around sports car with a 486-hp engine and is considered as the company’s best F-1 technology.

Jaguar XKAnother top of the line luxury sports car is the Jaguar XK. This car will be released early this year as their main attraction for the 2007 series of the Jaguar. This car is said to be the lightest of the Jaguar designs because of the bonded-aluminum platform that is used in its modernized features. It weighs lighter than the previous version, which is the DOHC 4.2-liter engine.

Porsche Cayman
The Porsche Cayman can be considered as the most well rounded Porsche sports car that is released. Although it is not considered the fastest or most expensive design in the car market, many car enthusiasts are still fascinated with this car because of the accuracy of the steering wheels and mid-engine balance it gives the driver when it is on the road. The car is priced $59,985.
Chevrolet Corvette ZO6
When car enthusiasts are looking for a fast car and would like to satisfy their need for speed, the Chevrolet Corvette ZO6 has it all. This car can blast up to 200 mph. To topple the Corvette’s great speed you have to acquire the Ford GT and spend $150,000. Just like the Le Mans C6R Corvette racecar the ZO6 has a 7-liter and 505-hp engine. It also features carbon fiber front fenders and dry sump V8.

These are only a few of the certified luxury sports car that car drivers can find when wanting to make comparisons in the car market. Many sports cars can be one of the top-of-the-line cars when you talk about their classification for being a luxury sports car.
